Mobile Saunas
EN Concept design for a series of mobile saunas. The brief required that the structures would be mounted on standard vehicle trailers.
Inspired by the way these little buildings would be moved to many different locations, the main windows become a lens on to the landscape.
The larch board cladding steps gently up the side of the structures and is painted with varying amounts of pigment, anticipating the effects of weathering and echoing the natural landscapes where they will be sited.
Envisioned as a family of unique companions, the structures are painted different colours. They are all similar, yet subtly different.
Concept Design completed in 2020.
PL Projekt koncepcyjny mobilnych saun montowanych na standardowych przyczepach samochodowych.
Zainspirowane stale zmieniającym się krajobrazem, w którym mogą być zlokalizowane te ruchome budynki, główne okno staje się soczewką na otaczający krajobraz.
Deskowanie na elewacjach delikatnie wspinają się po bokach konstrukcji i pomalowane są farbami z różnymi ilościami pigmentu, współgrając ze skutkami starzenia i nawiązując do naturalnego krajobrazu, w którym zostaną zlokalizowane. Sauny, pomyślane jako rodzina, są wielokolorowe. Wszystkie są do siebie podobne, a jednak inne.
